On March 15th, our 5th Birthday, join us for a benefit class in honor of our dear friend & student, Valerie Wright. All donations from this class will go to METAvivor Research & Support, Inc. in her honor.
Val was a selfless woman who helped so many suffering from breast cancer. She then faced her own battle with metastatic breast cancer with positivity, courage & grace. So let’s celebrate Val by coming together to do what she loved...yoga...while raising money for a cause that was dear to her & her family.
February 25 - March 17, 2019 daily | MWF, 7:20a-8:20a + TuThSa, 8:20-9:20
Join instructor Ashleigh Price for a 21 day series designed to help you get in the habit of a regular, self-guided yoga practice. Strong habits can be hard to create, and I’ve found it most accomplishable alongside supportive others with similar goals. For that reason, this series will offer daily practice time alongside other dedicated yogis in the community. While day one will impart structure, guidance, and suggestions for how to creatively piece together your own hour long home yoga practices, the remainder days will include a structured 1-hour morning practice time. 1 hour, broken in to 4 segments— meditate, 5m + “themed” open practice, 40m + cool down/closing postures, 10m + savasana, 5m. I will be there to offer guidance and to answer questions as students dive into their own practices. Participants will leave with the habit of a daily practice intact, knowledge & confidence around creating personal home yoga sequences, and with a newfound joy in the empowerment & beauty of a yoga practice catered to what you need each day!
Daily “themes”: Upon closure of each of our daily practices, Ashleigh will offer the practice theme for the next day. Themes will include topics for students to prepare for and explore in their bodies upon arrival to practice the following morning. Examples of “themes” are standing postures, restorative postures, hip centric practice, twisting practice, etc.
$75 early bird, by Feb 9th | $85 regular, price increases Feb 10
This 2 hour advanced flow is a progressive series with an emphasis on music and one slow, conscious breath per movement. Each sequence will build off the previous one incorporating pose options such as peacock, firefly, scorpion, king pigeon, flying pigeon, headstand, handstand and crow variations. You will leave with shaking arms, a newfound confidence, and a sense of deep connection. Krista brings a light-hearted and intuitive approach to the practice. You will need a high level of presence and basic knowledge of the poses for this liberating experience. Everyone is welcome.
This fluid and sweaty experience provides plenty of opportunities to up-level your practice by moving through arm balance variations and indulging in juicy chest openers.
“You are your very best guide. When given the right tools coupled with the right attitude, your life is limitless.” Krista
$25 early bird until Wed February 6th. Price increases to $35 on Feb 7th.
Couples Massage Workshop with Amanda & William Hall of Goodwill Massage. $100 per couple includes wine, organic chocolate from Conscious Coco, small bites from Woodstone Pizza & a massage manual to take home.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is attended by two individuals who want to learn how to massage each other. While the class does require two people, and has a high number of romantic couples attending, attendees do not need to be romantic partners. Friends, families, and anyone interested in learning the enviable skill of giving an excellent massage, is welcome. Likewise, this class is open to all ages and types of couples. We have only one requirement of you, be a loving human being and be ready to give to your partner, as well as receive.
What is Couples Massage?
Explore another level of communication with those closest to you. This 2-hour class will focus on increasing awareness of self and your significant other during the energetic exchange that occurs through using Swedish massage. You will learn short protocols for different body parts (for example: feet, back) and take turns practicing these strokes. You will learn to apply specific strokes and how to adjust your body and your pressure so your body doesn't hurt after giving a massage. Couples find it a great way to increase their connection and bring more touch into their relationship. Everyone can use these techniques to relax, heal and rejuvenate.
