How is this teacher training different?

This program is about transformation.  Not just the students you’ll be teaching, but your own.  A good teacher has to have the willingness to grow…to question, to break down what you’ve always held as truth & take a long hard look at it. We have to be willing to do the work ourselves before we can expect to be effective teachers.  Discover your own true self first.  Become vulnerable enough to be taught, then you can pass what you have learned onto others.

If I don’t want to teach yoga, what can I expect from this training?

Transform your life.

Learn tools to fully accept & love yourself.

Take your own journey into personal growth.

Uncover your potential for the happiness that is already within you.

Develop a deeper understanding of your body & your yoga practice.

Acquire self confidence from speaking in front of others & leading classes.

Improve your communication skills & your relationship skills.

Embrace yoga as a lifestyle & use the solutions it offers to the obstacles in life.

If I do want to teach yoga, what can I expect from this training?

All of above, plus:

Gain a solid understanding of the philosophy of yoga & safe teaching techniques.

Become comfortable & effective in leading classes.

Find your style & your voice as a teacher.

Learn how to not just teach, but change lives by leading students on their own journeys of self discovery.

Learn to give people tools for their personal growth through your own experience, study, training & practice.

Gain an understanding of how to market yourself as a yoga teacher, and learn about the business of yoga.

Trailside yoga teacher training is top notch! Stephani ensures all participants feel safe and included. The content is well organized and digestible. There is a great balance of lecture, discussion, practice, and practice teaching. I felt ready to teach group classes shortly after graduation. Would recommend this program to anyone looking to become a teacher or deepen their practice!

Loved my training! I’ve practiced at Trailside Yoga for some time now and have a great relationship with Stephani and the teachers. I’ve gone back and forth on whether or not to do YTT, and thanks to the open dialogue I had with Stephani, I decided to go through with it. What a great decision that turned out to be. Our lead teacher, Chris Morehead, and the assists, Amanda Oakley & Stephani Jungmeyer fostered an environment that was filled with love, openness, patience, and inspiration. They took the time to learn about me on a deeper level and what I wanted to get out of the program. That in turn allowed me to become vulnerable and dive deep in my learning. One quality that stuck out to me is how inclusive the environment and training were. As an African-American male, I don’t see many yogis that look like me in my community and have experienced prejudice behavior in studios. To be in a program that not only acknowledges the work that needs to be done in the community, but how we can be a part of the solution speaks volumes. I highly recommend this program and can’t thank Trailside enough for an experience of a lifetime.
